Pageland Firefighters were among several local fire and rescue departments that participated in the Prom Promise motor vehicle crash drama at Central High School on Friday, April 27th 2018. The Pageland Rescue squad organizes the annual event to give high school juniors and seniors a closeup and personal view of a recreation of a deadly motor vehicle crash incident in hopes that prom goers remember the potential deadly consequences of impaired driving.
Pageland Rescue Squad, Pageland Fire Department, Sandhill Fire Department, High Point Fire District, Medshore EMS, the Chesterfield County Coroners office and Baumgartner Funeral home were on hand to recreate the response to the crash incident. 5 engines, 1 rescue, 1 ladder, 1 ambulance and 1 crash truck and 2 vans were manned by over 25 Fire and Rescue personnel during the educational event. Stegall’s Paint & Body supplied the vehicles for the event.
